Sparing the wounded bird? It's not really sparing him. You can either kill him outright or leave him to suffer longer, but he's definitely going to die from such an injury. And in my opinion, Laika's character is more aligned with prolonging his suffering, as she enjoys his pain (6:04:02). There's no mercy here; just let him suffer longer.

Yes you can keep playing, just wait 10 minutes on the black screen and Chara will talk to you again and everything they ask to you you have to answer "yes", but after that every route you do will end in genocide, even the pacifist one
